Hi, I’m Adam!
Why not, right? We all live short lives and we all have something to share while we are alive. I wanted to create a place where I can share my experiences, thoughts, and ideas. Even if nobody ever visits this site, I enjoy writing and journaling. I already do it privately, so this is just me doing more of the same on the internet :).
I’ve split this site up into 4 categories based on my interests: Life and Spirituality, The Human Side of Business, Miami sports, and The Cosmos. These are all things that define who I am and how I think.
Life and Spirituality: I am huge believer in the power of positive self-talk, not feeling sorry for yourself, and treating others with respect and love. I am not a religious person but I do love talking about the topic of creation and the purpose behind life. To me this is a fascinating subject, because I think it’s the thing humans probably know the least about. I know that opinions around how to live ones life and spirituality can be a bit touchy, so just know that everything in this category is either my opinion or informing of others opinions that I found interesting. I welcome disagreements! This is something I think humans in general should be more open to talking about… stop being so weird about it! Let’s figure it out together and learn from each others experiences.
The Human Side of Business: I have spent the last 10 years of my life studying the topics of business management and human resources. I have an MBA from the University of Miami and a Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Management and Human Resources from Florida International, so the posts in this section will be more grounded in research and things I’ve learned; not only from books or professors but also from real world experience. I’m interested in these topics because I am generally interested in human behavior. A lot of us spend the majority of our days on the job, so knowing more about how you can find your happiness at work is of extra importance. I also believe we are in a transition period where we have a different understanding of what management styles actually work and produce the best results. Revolutionizing our understanding of the human side of business can revolutionize how businesses operate and treat people in general. You’ll find a lot of my opinions and research on the topic in this section.
Miami Sports: If you know me you just know. I am an untamed Miami sports fanatic. This website is supposed to capture who I am as a person, so not including this section would be leaving out a huge chunk of who I am. You’ll find a lot of Dolphins, Canes, and Heat content in this section. I’ll throw in some Marlins and Panthers posts, but I have to admit I can only call myself a moderate fan of the latter two compared to my passion for the former. I also want to include some of my opinions on how playing team sports as a child sets you up for success in the future. I am a firm believer in getting your kids involved in team activities early in life. The skills they’ll learn translates to skills they’ll need as an adult in business and social settings. I am admittedly bias, being someone who loved watching and playing sports as a young one.
The Cosmos: In a parallel universe, I am someone who is trying to solve the puzzle of the cosmos as a some type of Astronomer/Physicist hybrid. In this universe, I am just someone extremely interested in the latest developments and discoveries in the space beyond Earth. There is SO much to learn about existence. Not just human existence, but existence in general. In our Milky Way galaxy alone there are billions of stars like our sun that have planets orbiting around them that could also host life in some form. Now just try to fathom that there are hundreds of billions of additional galaxies with billions MORE stars with billions MORE planets! How cool is that?! I believe learning more about what is out there in the universe is a key ingredient in learning more about ourselves and our purpose. We are really in an infancy stage as humans when it comes to understanding our place in the universe. We are just scratching the surface on truly understanding the planets of our own solar system, let alone understanding what else is out there in our galaxy, let alone understanding what else is out there BEYOND our galaxy. This is more of a hobby for me, so I won’t be breaking down formulas or doing any professional writing on the topic. What you’ll find in this section is just some information on the latest our species has learned and the progress that our best and brightest scientists have made in exploring the cosmos.
I hope you enjoy reading as much as I will enjoy writing!
