Where to start? I’m a younger brother to five siblings and an older brother to two siblings. I grew up in Miami, FL in the West Kendall area. I have a great mom, dad, step-dad, and step-mom. I was lucky to have a loving and fun-filled childhood which helped shape me into the person I am today for better or for worse. In adulthood I’ve learned that I am happiest when I am chasing after a goal. I think I really learned this about myself by challenging myself in high school. I was in the marching band my freshman and sophomore year, before I decided to put down the trumpet and strap on a helmet for the varsity football team. My stats were far from impressive but I was happy being the most undersized receiver, probably in all of Miami-Dade LOL (I was 5’7 135 lbs at the time). I continued my journey after high school at Miami-Dade College, not really knowing what career I wanted to pursue. All I ever really “loved” outside of family was sports, but it seemed cliche’ for me to pursue a job in the sports field and I honestly felt I could make a bigger impact on the world elsewhere if I put my mind to it. Fast forward through the first two years of college where I did very well with a near perfect GPA, which was a new thing for me in school. I was more of the “C” student type before college. Since I was able to prove my success as a student through my first two years, my options opened up and I was able to get into Florida International University to pursue my Bachelor’s degree. Still not knowing what I wanted to do specifically in my career, I decided to get my degree in something that I could apply to multiple different professions: Business! I earned my Bachelor’s degree two years later with a double major in Management and Human Resources. This was the first time I felt truly accomplished in my life. I paid my own way through college with money I earned working part time and I put a lot of hours in to make that happen! It made me excited to see what I could do next if I put the effort into it. Through most of my years in college, as I mentioned I worked part time at Converse in Dolphin mall as a floor sales rep. Leading up to graduation I wanted to start broadening my skill-set and prepare myself for a stable career and source of income. I put my resume on internship.com and applied for nearly every single one within a 20 mile radius. I eventually got brought in to help a small business owner who had a relatively successful full-suite digital marketing business. He needed help mostly with managing his email marketing operations for his biggest client, but I also dabbled in some photoshop for some of the websites he managed and learned some html. This is where I picked up and learned a lot of my proficiency on a computer. Darryl (the small business owner I mentioned) was a great mentor and I owe a lot to him for teaching me a ton about what it takes to be successful in business. After I graduated, with the help of one of my brothers who already worked for the company, I was able to land a gig working in cloud access management for Ultimate Software. And around this time I also met my future wife Christy! She is currently carrying my future baby boy: Miles Euster. I can’t wait to meet my mini me! At the time of this post, I am still working for Ultimate more than 5 years later as a full-time team lead for the same team I first got hired on as a part-timer. While working at Ultimate as a full-time employee, I decided to go get a Master’s degree in Business Administration. So here I am with an MBA, I have a good job, a great wife, and a baby on the way. So what’s next?! I think next I will be focusing less on myself and more on how I can use myself to help impact the human race and the world in general. How will I do that? TBD :). Thanks for reading.
